CHapter 2: Multiplying by 1 digit numbers
We will spend a few days just reviewing multiplication math facts, which should have learned in third grade, and demonstrate ways to solve multiplication facts. They will learn the words factors, product, comparison, array and equation. After we have reviewed our basic facts, we will will look at some comparison problems. For example:
Johnny has $7 his sister has six times as much as Johnny. How much money does his sister have?
to solve students will have to set up the equation 7x6=? and know the math facts to answer.
Then we will work on multiplying by a single digit number. (42x7 or 365x9)
